Kristina von Rosenvinge speaks about menopause, relationships and actions

Kristina von RosenvingeKristina von Rosenvinge – pronounced Rose-in-ving – was my special guest on Ask as Expert Anything.  Kristina is a psychotherapist, a coach and an educator who is making her professional self over for the third time.  Trained as a psychotherapist at the University of Minnesota, she spent 20 plus years as a therapist for couples and families.  After many of her patients made progress on their issues in therapy they wanted and needed advice about making decisions, changing careers etc… so Kristina became a coach to help them.  Now, 30 years later, she wants to share what she has learned with a larger audience.  I was privileged to have her accept my invitation as a guest on my program.

We discussed issues surrounding menopause.  Kristina expertly divided the issues into two categories, peri-menopause when there are many hormonal changes going on and Menopause or the time after one year since the last menstrual cycle. It is during the upheaval that women have emotional ups and downs, physical challenges and the creative urge.  This can strain relationships when one person needs or wants to “create” and the other person wants it all to stay the same.

This is the first part of two segments.  Segment number two is in the protected content section of the membership site Female Menopause Mentors.  If you what to hear or read more about Kristina go to her blog Grow with Kristina or her Internet radio show Vibrant After Fifty.
